The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is Australia’s national research agency for crime and justice.

AIC regularly releases research and statistical reports and bulletins, trends & issues summaries, and special reports which are publicly available and often shared in our JARA newsletter when relevant to access to justice, legal need and socially or economically disadvantaged groups.

The Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety (ANROWS) is a national independent not-for-profit resesarch organisation established by the Commonwealth government to produce, disseminate and assist in applying evidence for policy and practice as part of the National Plan to reduce violence against women and their children.  ANROWS produces relevant research, with peer-reviewed reports publicly available.

The Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) is one of the NSW Department of Communities and Justice research and statistics agencies. Focussing on crime statistics, BOCSAR assists policy makers in the criminal justice system to develop and implement strategies to provide a more equitable, efficient and effective justice system. 

BOCSAR regularly releases statistical summaries and reports identifying trends in crime and justice, these reports are publicly available and are often included in our JARA newsletter.

The Family and Community Services Insights Analysis and Research (FACSIAR) is a centre of excellence in human services insights, analysis, and research that operates within the Department of Communitites and Justice. FACSIAR regularly partners with other government agencies, universities, national reporting bodies, industry peak bodies, not for profit organisation, service providers, and research organisations. 

FACSIAR lead specific projects, data linkage, research and evaluation acitivies, and deliver seminars and evidence to action podcasts and events.  They regularly share findings and insights to drive the use of evidence and data in policy and practice.

Health Justice Australia supports collaborations between services in health and justice to achieve better outcomes for vulnerable communities. Health justice knowledge translation publications have been distributed in our JARA newsletter.

LawAccess NSW is a free government telephone service that provides legal information, referrals and in some cases, advice for people who have a legal problem in NSW.
