The Law and Justice Foundation of NSW only collect personal information when necessary to fulfill its statutory functions and activities. If you have any question about this privacy statement or the way in which your personal information is handled, please contact the Foundation on communications@lawfoundation.net.au.

Information collected through the Research Hub (this website) can only be of two types:

  1. a record of your visit to the Research Hub, that is collected for statistical purposes
  2. a record of your contact details if you contact us directly or if you choose to subscribe to our newsletters  

Your visit to the Research Hub

This website automatically makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:

  • the user's server address
  • the user's top level domain name (e.g. .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc.)
  • the date and time of the visit to the site
  • the pages accessed and documents downloaded
  • the type of browser used

Your contact details

  • If you contact us by email with a query or a complaint, we will collect your name and email address for the purposes of communicating directly with you. Correspondence will be recorded, and note that it may include information such as phone number, occupation, or employer if it was provided by you. Your details will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided them and will not be added to a mailing list. We will not use your contact details for any other purpose, and will not disclose them without your consent.
  • If you choose to subscribe to one or more of our newsletters, we will collect your name, email address, occupation and organisation. Your details will only be added to the Foundation's mailing list(s) of your choice, and will only be used for the purposes of direct communication. We will not add your details to any other mailing list. You can choose to unsubscribe from the Foundation's mailing list(s) at any time.

No data collected from this site will be disclosed to a third party except where it is legally required, such as in the investigation of a criminal offence, and in compliance with a search warrant or subpoena.

 

Disclaimer on the use of data reported by the Foundation

The Law and Justice Foundation of NSW (the Foundation) is committed to providing the legal assistance sector, the broader justice system and the public with open and transparent access to relevant data to assist with policy development and the effective planning and delivery of services.

The Foundation makes every attempt to ensure accuracy, currency and reliability of data contained in its online data resources. The data used in the Foundation’s dashboards and other resources has been produced and processed from data sources and client information systems believed to be reliable, accurate and complete at the point of data extraction. The Foundation does not accept any responsibility or liability for material contained on third-party sites that reference the information in data tools and resources or on this website, or for the use any person makes of such third-party information. The Foundation does not monitor these websites and makes no representations in relation to the quality or accuracy of the information on third-party websites.
